The BEST places to take photos at Walt Disney World

If you're anything like me, then you LOVE to get a good photo when you're visiting any place that is remotely interesting. Disney is definitely one of those places. There is no way I am going to the parks and not letting everyone know that I'm there with the array of photos that I have in my camera roll. No. Way.

Lucky for me (and for you), going to the parks often has allowed me to find some pretty neat spots that will have your social media feed - or your camera roll - looking stunning!

EPCOT

This is the park I have the most photos at - and not just because it was the only park I could get into for a while. Epcot is my favorite park to just chill at. There's no pressure to get anything done or rush to the next ride, you can just relax.

Photo Spot 1

(My photo in front of Remy's Ratatouille Adventure 2023)

If you have been to Walt Disney World at all since October 2021, then you know exactly where this is. This is the fountain right in front of Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. If you haven't been to the parks recently, or you're visiting for the first time, you can find this little area in the back of the France pavilion. There's a giant archway that you cannot miss in the far right corner.

This is my favorite area because I absolutely love this ride and the theming that was done here. The attention to detail in the fountain is unmatched and I will die on that hill. I can't guarantee that this area will be crowd free - as you can see the exit and entrance to the ride is right behind the fountain. However, it is a stunning spot that will capture lots of attention!

Photo Spot 2

(My photo outside the International Gateway 2023)

For this spot you don't even have to go into the park! You do, however, need access to the Skyliners. This is right outside the international gateway to get into Epcot. The back of the photo may vary as I believe the flowers may be specific to The Flower and Garden Festival that is currently taking place.

The amount of people in the background is very minimal, and it doesn't scream Disney (if that is the vibe you're going for). The best part, though, is that this path can lead you to two wonderful resorts: The Boardwalk and The Yacht and Beach Club.

Hollywood Studios

I'll be honest; I spent the least amount of time at Hollywood Studios during my program. While I absolutely LOVE the park, the wait times and crowds were not justifiable for the experiences in my personal opinion. But that didn't stop me from snapping a few pics!

Photo Spot 1

                                                                (Photo on Sunset Blvd 2023)

This is another one of those spots that I can't guarantee will be people free, but it is an absolutely darling spot with the permanent luggage and Route 66 sign. This little area completely captures the ✨vibes✨ that the imagineers were going for. AND the world renowned attraction, The Hollywood Tower of Terror, is at the end of the street! This spot, if you haven't concluded, is on Sunset Blvd right in front of the store that has all the Pixar merchandise. Iconic, really.

Photo Spot 2

(My photo in Galaxy's Edge 2022)

Now what kind of Disney connoisseur would I be if I wrote about Hollywood Studios and didn't mention Galaxy's Edge?!!?!! This is probably the most coveted photo spot for anyone who is remotely interested in Star Wars. Like, even just the smallest bit.

The Millennium Falcon is located in the back corner of Galaxy's Edge (hehe, it's at the edge of galaxy's edge) and there are two ways to get there if you have never been. The first way would be to go through the path that is over by Muppet Vision (these are all on the left hand side of the park). The second would be to take the path from Toy Story Land (you would have gone right instead of left to get to Toy Story Land).

No matter how you decide to get here, having the Millennium Falcon in the background of your photo is pretty cool, and will definitely have people asking you about your experience!

Animal Kingdom

I almost feel obligated to say this because this was the location that I worked at during my College Program, but Animal Kingdom is my FAVORITE park. The feeling you get when you walk through the oasis is unmatched.

Photo Spot 1

(My photo with the Tree of Life 2023)

I know for a fact people cannot resist taking a photo with the iconic tree of life, and Disney knows it, too! That's why they have photopass photographers stationed at all the best angles in front of it. The crowds can get out of hand, especially during peak season. That's why my spot isn't in front of the tree of life, technically. This photo was taken behind the tree of life on one of the trails that you can actually go on! This specific trail can be accessed from either side, right outside of Asia or right outside of Africa. It's always pretty empty cause people hardly know about it!

Photo Spot 2

(My photo at Maharajah Jungle Trek 2022)

I've said it once and I'll say it again, Maharajah Jungle Trek is one of the most slept on attractions in Animal Kingdom. You get such good information about that animals that you're seeing UP CLOSE! And the themeing? *Chef's Kiss* It's amazing! This little area is right as you're going to exit the trail, over by the tigers!

Magic Kingdom

As it is the most iconic park at Walt Disney World Resort, I had to save this park for last. I also saved it for last because there's hardly a spot that people haven't found, and frankly this spot probably isn't new to you either!

(My photo in front of Cinderella's Castle 2022)

Much like the Tree of Life, Cinderella's Castle is a park icon people can't help but get a photo of. And who would I be to deprive the people of what they want? A hypocrite, that's what. I'm sure we all know that the crowds in front of the beloved castle are a bit *crazy* so we want to avoid that at all costs. Luckily, we can, and the best part is you still get that beautiful castle in the background of your photo!

The castle has these two gazebo areas on either side that have water fountains and a beautiful view. To get there you'll want to walk like you're going to fantasyland. The building will have a giant banner on it, you can't miss it!

Wilderness Lodge

I bet you thought that would be the last photo, huh? Well guess what? I've actually got ONE MORE for you!

Wilderness Lodge was a resort I went to a lot when I lived in Florida (mostly because I had meals at Whispering Canyon several times). Needless to say, it makes for a great location for photos!

(My photo at Wilderness Lodge 2022)

This location isn't the typical area people take photos when they visit this resort. Normally they would take them by the big waterfall (which I have also done). But if you want something more lowkey, this is the spot for you! This location is over by the Cabins, there are cabins on either side of the resort, so I don't think it matters which side you choose! It's isolated and very quiet, so it'll be less awkward if you want more of a photoshoot.

As you can see, there are several fun and cute areas that you can capture your vacation memories while you're visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. Of course I didn't go over them all, but these are just a few of my favorites!

Are there any areas that are your go-to for taking pictures? If so share them in a comment! I'd love to learn about them!

Thanks a bunch, and I'll see you next time!
